An example of a teenage comedy film having a
scene where the characters are hanging out near
their lockers is iCarly where this teenager is talking
to his friend next to his locker.
Frame 2
This is our titles we decided to
put all our titles on lockers as we
wanted something unique as a
background for out titles and we
also wanted something that
would match the teenage
comedy genre.
2. An example of where there are unique
titles which are used in a teenage comedy
is Napoleon Dynamite you can see that
they have different types of school
cafeteria foods as backgrounds for their
titles.
3. Frame 3
This frame shows our main character Jack
reading a book. In this scene we wanted to
establish that Jack is a nerdy character as he
is reading a book while the other people in
his class are on the computers watching
videos.
This scene shows an outcast and
weird character reading a book. This
scene is from the movie 10 things I
hate about you. I believe that it is
similar to our film as it shows a guy
that stands out from the crows (
similar to Jack) who is reading a
book.
4. Frame 4
Frame 5
This frame shows my character ‘Alex’ getting
slapped by a ‘Little girl’. This is a very funny
scene as I (Alex) try to rob the little girl and she
says “Sod off you retard!” and then slaps me.
This is also spirit lifting as everybody likes seeing
the underdog winning , in this case me being
slapped by someone much smaller then me.
This is the title for our film. We choose the
title Jack grows a pair as this story will be
mostly about how Jack will become much
more mature and stand up for himself.
As this is only our opening sequence you
won’t see much of how Jack gets more
confident and mature but you will only see
how he will get pushed around and
bullied.
5. Frame 6
Frame 7
This frame shows my character Alex and
Wayne bullying Jack. In this frame we are
trying to take his money of him and
bullying him. The fact that he is sitting
down and we are on top of him shows
that we have more authority and power
than him.
This is a scene from Back to the future
where a nerd (similar to Jack) is getting
bullied by a big guy (similar to Alex and
Wayne)
This scene shows the two bullies
Alex and Wayne near a graffiti filled
area. This scene shows that they are
not good guys as they are chilling in
a graffiti filled area full of dirt.
6. Frame 8
This scene shows my character Alex and
Hisham’s character Wayne chasing Jack.
Chase scenes occur a lot in teenage comedy
movies whether it is teachers chasing
students or parents chasing children.
This is a chase scene in the
teenage comedy Ferris Bueller’s
Day off. This chase scene is not
the same as our chase scene as
they are in a car chase but the
suspense and the excitement is
all the same.
7. Frame 9
The last frame shows the bullies titles
on a locker. It has my name and my co-
bully Hisham Qureshi’s name. We
decided to put all our titles on lockers
as we wanted something unique as a
background for out titles and we also
wanted something that would match
the teenage comedy genre.
