“Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story”
This film is based on a untold story of a gang leader name Nicasio "Asiong" Salonga. Jeorge
"E.R." Estregan played the role of Asiong is feared and respected by people. He protects the poor
people who lives on his so called territory Tondo. He fights for this place against other gang
member. He showed dominance over all the people and in all the other gangs which results to
people to follow him and for the other gangs to fight him.
Asiong here in this movie is the face of a standard filipino, he shows devotion to God, Family
oriented, helpfulness and he always shows empathy towards his people thats why asiong is
being respected by his people and being followed by his people. Being a good leader to the
people around you is a choice and asiong choose to be one and that resulteed for his people to
love him because of his dedication to this people
