ICT integration
2. Introduction.
Information and communication technology (ICT) has gone through innovation, transformed our
society that has changed the way people think, live and work.
Schools and other educational institutions which prepare students for the “Digital era”, teachers
are seen as the key players in using ICT in their daily classroom.
3. Objectives
The main objective is analyze how to implement and integrate the use of the technology with the
students environment, discover the types of technological resources and the best way of
manipulate our materials.
4. Specific Objective
The Purpose of integrating ICT is to improve and
increase the quality, accessibility of the delivery of
education, while taking advantage of the benefits of
networking learning communities together to equip
them to face the challenges of global competition.
5. What is ICT integration?
Is defined as the use of ICT t
introduce, reinforce,
supplement and extend skills;
also as strategy to integrate
information an
communications technology
into all facets of education
and training. These
technology include
computers, internet,
broadcasting technologies,
etc.
6. Resources Integration
It is important to differentiate between didactic materials and educative resources, the first one is
design to facilitate learning teaching process, the second one is used to fulfill a learning need to
facilitate the acquiring of knowledge.
7. Types of Pedagogic - Technology Resources
Those are divided into conventional materials: books, newspapers, copies, as well audiovisual
materials such as photos, projectable images, etc. or ICT (TICS) such as computer programs, video
games, web blogs, etc.
Some of the basic requirements are: analyze learners conditions, analyze resources, and establish
purposes, everything oriented and connected to develop the appropriate resource for learners.
8. Steps of Preparation
1. State the need - establish purposes.
2. Analyze topic, content and establish relations.
3. Choose appropriate resource.
4. Plan orient, specify steps - substeps.
5. prepare material and equipment.
6. Test
7. Evaluate
9. 1. Class, age, group, location, abilities, institutional conditions, etc
2. Determine topic, subtopics, both related to conditions and needs.
3. Compare, analyze, establish goals.
4. Establish goals, activities, time, resource and evaluations.
5. step by step, prepare components, tools, equipment required.
6. connect, establish functions.
7. Evaluate and revise to fix and control possible errors.
10. Functions of Resources
1. Provide information
2. Guide learning
3. Train abilities and expand them
4. Motivate and keep interest
5. Evaluate knowledge
6. Provide simulations for expression and creation.
Teachers must know where, when (as well as when not), and how to use technology for
classroom activities and presentations.
11. Conclusion.
The potential of the ICT in promoting the learning outcome with more latest of knowledge
without and abstraction on accessibility and distance limitations.
With ICT integration in the classroom, students will be able to engage in interactive tasks with
a wider range of information and knowledge during their learning.
