 Founded in 1956
 Headquartered in Ludhiana
 By 1975, Hero cycles became the largest bicycle manufacturer
in India
 In 1986 Hero Cycles Limited entered the Guinness Books of
World Records as the largest bicycle manufacturer in the
world.
 The company has three separate segments, namely Cycle and
Cycle parts, C R Strips and Auto Components
 The company is one of the largest exporters of bicycles and
bicycle parts
 They exports to 82 countries around the globe, which includes
most of the European countries
 Turnover – Rs. 2080cr (2012)

 To know the role of HR in payroll and the payroll
software’s used in the organization.
 To find about the software’s used in Payroll
process and satisfactory level of employees who
are handling software’s.
 To know the basic functions of HR manager in
manufacturing plant.
 To determine the appropriate working
environment for workers in manufacturing plant.
 To understand conflict and shift management.

 Payroll Management can be defined as the
administration of the financial record of employees'
salaries, wages, bonuses, net pay, and deductions.
 Payroll system is the heart of any Human Resource
System of an organization.
 Software that used in manufacturing plant was SAP.

Measurement of Software usage.
SUGGESTIONS
 In order to improve the Software skills of employees
the organization should create more awareness and to
provide feedback regularly to the employees about
software system.
 Proper training should be given to the employees, in
order to increase their knowledge about the usefulness
of the software system.
 Latest versions of software should be implemented in
future to fight with the competitors and retain their
clients.
 On shop floor worker should be provided with glucose
or lemon water which increases his stamina to work.
 Quality circles should be introduced in organization.
 Quality of uniform and shoes should be improved and
it should be designed according to working conditions
so that workers do not face any kind of skin related
problem.
 Company should lay more stress on taking corrective
measures for safety regarding accidents.
