Webquest
Introduction- Kristen’s first grade class has learned the five senses and
what each one is. We have played multiple competitive games to help
learn each of the senses but now we will expand your minds to help you
learn how each sense works and what your brain must do to make it
work. You use each of your senses everyday so it is important you
know how they work.
2. Task- The students will be expected to listen to my power point and
learn facts about each of the senses. They will be expected to create a
poster of one of the five senses. The student will have to write the sense
or sentence about it if possible on his/her poster (making sure it is
spelled correctly) and have an illustration. The student then must find
one fact about that sense and present it to the class.
Process- Step 1- The student must pick a sense that they would like to do
their project on and turn it into me.
Step 2- I will return this back to the student with my approval and they
can begin working on their poster.
Step 3- They must have the poster filled with pictures (drawings or cut
outs) and at least the word of their sense if not a whole sentence.
3. Step 4- With the help of a teacher or parent, the student must come up
with a fact to talk about when presenting their poster.
Step 5- The student will present their poster talking about their sense, the
illustrations of their poster, and the fact about the sense.
The students will refer to these websites to help them.
