In this full-time, 12-month teaching advising position I served as teacher and advisor to more than 80 students each
school year. Courses taught include: agriscience, small animal care, veterinary science, landscaping and turf
management, and greenhouse management. In addition to teaching in the classroom, I helped prepare FFA members
for 24 national Career Development Events, guided more than 40 students through their Supervised Agricultural
Experience projects, and organized meetings, camp, conventions, and retreats for the students.

Serving on a volunteer basis as a team leader has allowed me to supervise the construction of homes, work with
Mexican citizens to plan community gardens, and coordinate community benevolence outreach for neighbors living in
poverty. In addition to overseeing the projects for some 50 to 60 missionaries, it is my responsibility to research and
maintain a budget for the team, create and procure project materials, gathering donations of money, food, and
clothing, and plan meals for the team on a daily basis.

The focus of this Supervised Agricultural Experience was breeding, marketing, and care of Irish Setter canines. I
worked in tandem with my sisters in this project for our FFA degrees. Through this activity I earned the Tennessee
