Christenson Farms September 2005 - Present
Family Hazelnut Farm
Duties: Operate equipment, trucks, tractors, and forklift, manage employees:
inventory, training employers how to plant trees and spray for suckers, and
Treasurer for the farm.
Future Farmers September 2008 – June 2011: Participate for 3 years, go to
Of America competitions, judge plants: studied 300 different types of seeds, trees and plants, ,
and participated in sheep showmanship for 5 years at the county fair which
included feeding it, walking it, teaching it how to stand properly, washing it, for 3
months.
4-H September 2005 – September 2008: for 3 years, responsible recording in our
accounting books, accounting for monthly meetings, and showed sheep at the
country fair
SERVICE/
LEADERSHIP- Mission trip to Morocco, Thailand, and Mexico for 2 weeks: built houses,
constructed the foundation, painted, built a roof, mixed cement, taught English. I
was a team leader - planning the day-to-day operations. Planed out our budget
day to day, Prepared for 2 years with organizing fundraisers, keeping recorded of
everyone’s money (Treasurer). Team leader of a group of 25 college age kids,
which included getting drivers, planning out where we stop to eat and sleep, and
helped put together fundraisers.
INTERSHIP- Marketing coordinator for the Women’s Basketball team at Northwest Nazarene
University which includes: making fliers, adverting, planning out our schedule
for road trips and putting together folders for the players next year.
ACTIVITIES - Division II Athlete for 4 years and have been a captain many times throughout
my career. I have also been named GNAC All-Academic. I have learned what it
means to be a teammate, how to work hard, have dedication, being apart of
something more than yourself, how to be timely, and what it means to be apart of
2. a family and if you win or lose you know you always have the support from your
teammates.
