digit multiplication. I like to cover the digit.

Second… Follow the steps when multiplying. Two X Five is Ten,
so you would write the zero and carry your one.

You will ALWAYS place a zero in the
ones place when moving on to the
tens place. But first, you want to erase
the numbers you carried.
We can now move on to the tens place.
Now place a zero in the units place as we
are multiplying a number in the tens place.
