1. Key roles and Responsibilities
The main purpose of my job was representing the company in a professional and proactive
manner at all times.
In order manage and complete the snag list on-site, this meant, liaising with the contract
manager, finishing foreman, project managers and sub-contractors, so that the snag list was
completed within budget and on time.
On receiving the snag list from the main contractors’ clerk of works, my contract manager
would then call me in to discuss and help prioritise the work that is to be carried out on the
snag list. This would involve going over project drawings and carrying out site inspections
with the contract manager and the project manager.
Once the work on the snag list was prioritised, it was by carried out by me, but if help was
required I would tell the contract manager how many people were needed and then I was
responsible for the following;
 Supervise and manage all site based operatives when needed to work on snag lists
 Ensuring the following was carried out; safety inductions, method statement and tool
box talks
 Ensure that all works carried out are undertaken with due regard for health and safety
and in a professional manner
 Check that all plant and materials to be used where on site
 Order any additional plant and materials
 Keep site dairy and photographic dairy of all snag work being carried out
 It was then my job to get all snag work signed off by the contractors finishing
foreman.
