Magazine Pitch and Proposal Overview
Proposed Genre of Magazine: RnB
Proposed Name: Beats
Alternative/Back Up Name: keepin’ it real.
Ideas for Front Cover: dominant image of a girl.
Include initial thoughts on dominant image, font styles, articles to be used, colour scheme etc.
My colour scheme is going to be white black and red. My dominant image will be a
mid-shot. This picture will be of a male. I haven’t yet chosen my font as I am
currently doing a questionnaire about different fonts and which my audience would
prefer.
Target Audience age range, gender, interests, income etc: 15-25, male and female, music, middle.
Initial Ideas for Contents Page(s):
The word ‘contents’ will be scattered on different lines, because that is what I saw a
lot of in my audience research. I will be keeping to the black, red and white colour
scheme and there will also be a big dominant image of a female.

Section Headers for Contents List: my contents will not have any sections to them, they will all be
done together, this is another idea that I got from my audience research.
An Overview of Some of the Articles/Features Included on your Contents Page: I will have some
articles about thecharts, song lyrics, stories about artists, new music videos.
Will You Include an Editor’s Letter? No, I have chosen to not use an editor’s letter because it would
not fit with the rest of my magazine.
Article Double Page Spread:my double page spread will be focused on one main current artist,
