Production Diary
1. Sunday 30th
January – Filming
Before Sunday I had gotten in touch with a fellow student called Amy Kilbride and I had
asked if she would be okay going out for a photoshoot on Sunday the 30th of January around
the Nile Street area of Sunderland due to the fact there was some graffiti around that area.
She had also brought fellow student Keilan Ramsden along which I had made sign a consent
form a while ago as I had asked to use him as a model as well beforehand.
I had used a Canon eos 4000d camera with an 18-55mm lens to take photos during the
photoshoot. I had used no filter during this photoshoot and I used manual focus as the
automatic focus wasn’t taking the photos how I had wanted them to look. The aperture I
had ended up using was f.3.5. The shutter speed I had used was 1/69. The iso had originally
been on auto however there had been issues with the images when it was automatic so
therefore, I had changed the iso to manual and kept it on around 200 for most of the
photoshoot as it had been a bright day and we were outside in an open space.
I would have included proof of these images that had went wrong however they had been
deleted when I had seen how awful the images had come out.
After taking photos outside in Nile street we had ended up walking up towards the bowling
alley and I had taken some photos of Amy in front of a graffiti piece on the side of Mr Jack’s
bar in Sunderland.
2. After taking some photos outside of Mr Jack’s bar we had moved into the Sunderland
bowling alley where we had planned on taking photos however it was too busy so I had
ended up not doing this to avoid getting photos in the images that I wouldn’t be able to get
consent from. However, I had ended up taking on photo in the entrance of the bowling alley
as there was a graffiti piece at the entrance of the building
Monday 31st January – I had gone through my images to make sure that they were all
suitable and from there I moved onto the post-production process, beginning to move onto
the choosing and editing process.
