Position	
  Overview:	
  
The	
  Autism	
  Spectrum	
  Disorder	
  Service	
  at	
  the	
  Child	
  Study	
  Center	
  (CSC)	
  is	
  looking	
  for	
  an	
  energetic,	
  self-­‐
motivated	
  and	
  driven	
  clinical	
  psychologist	
  for	
  our	
  Manhattan	
  office.	
  Proficiency	
  in	
  behavioral	
  and	
  
cognitive-­‐behavioral	
  therapy,	
  parent	
  management	
  training,	
  social	
  skills	
  training,	
  and	
  diagnostic	
  
evaluation	
  of	
  ASD	
  and	
  related	
  disorders	
  is	
  required.	
  Advanced	
  training	
  and/or	
  certification	
  in	
  an	
  
evidence-­‐based	
  treatment	
  for	
  ASD	
  and/or	
  proficiency/research	
  reliability	
  on	
  the	
  ADOS-­‐2	
  and/or	
  ADI-­‐R	
  is	
  
a	
  plus.	
  Candidate	
  must	
  be	
  willing	
  to	
  lead	
  group	
  treatments	
  (e.g.,	
  for	
  social	
  skills	
  training	
  in	
  adolescents	
  
and	
  young	
  adults)	
  and	
  conduct	
  workshops	
  (e.g.,	
  for	
  parents	
  of	
  children	
  with	
  autism	
  spectrum	
  disorder).	
  
The	
  position	
  reports	
  directly	
  to	
  the	
  Clinical	
  Director	
  for	
  Autism	
  Spectrum	
  Disorder	
  Service.	
  
	
  
Responsibilities	
  include	
  but	
  are	
  not	
  limited	
  to:	
  
• Evaluating	
  of	
  new	
  patients	
  with	
  in-­‐person	
  and	
  written	
  feedback	
  in	
  a	
  timely	
  manner	
  
• Providing	
  evidence–based	
  psychotherapeutic	
  treatments	
  to	
  children,	
  adolescents	
  and	
  their	
  families	
  
in	
  individual,	
  parent	
  training,	
  family,	
  and	
  group	
  modalities	
  
• Supervising	
  and	
  teaching	
  of	
  trainees	
  across	
  disciplines	
  
• Providing	
  outreach	
  to	
  the	
  professional	
  and	
  lay	
  community	
  
• Participating	
  in	
  continuing	
  education	
  such	
  as	
  weekly	
  Case	
  Conference	
  and	
  Grand	
  Rounds	
  
• Contributing	
  to	
  the	
  research	
  efforts	
  by	
  	
  
o Conducting	
  research	
  reliable	
  ADOS-­‐2	
  and/or	
  ADI-­‐R	
  and	
  providing	
  written	
  feedback	
  to	
  
participating	
  families,	
  	
  
o Participating	
  to	
  research	
  case	
  conferences	
  and	
  data	
  or	
  literature	
  review	
  meetings	
  	
  
o Assist	
  in	
  the	
  design	
  and	
  application
