To apply for administrative positions with the San Francisco Unified School District, applicants must first complete an online initial application including a resume, cover letter, and references. The application and qualifications will then be reviewed and eligible candidates will be notified of open positions to apply for. Site-based applicants may be invited to participate in further application steps like short answer responses, phone interviews, and group interview days. The district accepts applications year-round and recommends applying as early as possible for 2017-2018 opportunities.

1. Apply to San Francisco Unified School District
Please follow the steps below to apply for Certificated Administrative positions.
Step 1: Apply Online
All interested applicants must complete an Initial Application through our online system, SearchSoft:
 Go to www.sfusd.edu/jobs.
 Create a new administrative account to start your application.
You will be prompted to electronically attach the following required documents to your application:
 Resume
 Cover Letter
 Contact Information for 2 references (We will only contact these references with your permission)
Out-of-state applicants should also:
 Supply a copy of credential and transcripts
 Visit www.ctc.ca.gov for information about obtaining a California credential from the California Com-
mission on Teacher Credentialing. We recommend that you begin this process as soon as possible.
Step 2: Initial Application Review
Once submitted, your application and your qualifications will be reviewed. Upon passing the review
process, you will be notified about your eligibility to apply for specific administrative positions.
 District leaders will select applicants to interview based on particular position requirements and an
applicant’s fit for that position.
 Candidates can expect to be contacted directly by administrators or by Human Resources.
 Update your application regularly with any changes and to view and express interest in open posi-
tions.
Step 3: Site-Based Administrative Applicants*
If you are applying to site-based administrative positions, after you complete your Initial Application,
you may be invited to continue with our application process. Further application steps will include:

*Current SFUSD Administrators may go through an abbreviated process, depending on experience.
