Goals established in 2014 for the second year e-mail listserv include:
GOALS 1 & 2
Usingmore creative subjecttitlesandmore interestingsustainedcontenttypes,thisyear’se-blasts
successfullyachieved ahigheraverage openrate of 36.9% withdiminishingreturnsthanpreviousyears
and the industryaverage 35.2%.
GOAL 3
The E-blastprovedto bringinan average of 30.5 students,whichis76.25 % of the studentsthat
attendedthe sophomore suppers. The StudyAbroadsupperhostedonSeptember14,2014 had the
highestattendance rate of studentsthatheardaboutthe sophomore supperthroughthe E-blast.Outof
the studentswhoregisteredonOrgsync,91% of the studentsregisteredbecauseof the E-blastlink.
GOAL 4
The newlyadded“blog”type articles were addedtothe 2014-2015 E-blasts.These articlesservedasa
“tipsand tricks”exclusivelyforsecondyearstudentsbya secondyearstudent.These blogsgive
informationrelative towhere the secondyearstudentisintheiracademiccareer.Forexample,before
midtermsandfinalsablogwas sentoutabout studyingtipsand tricks.ThisE-blastwasalsolinkedto
Loyola’sTutoringCenter,the Office of FirstandSecondYearAdvisingaswell astipsabouttalkingtothe
professortobetterunderstandthe material before majorexams.
