6 DIFFERENT STORES:
Target
PetsMart
Michaels
Pier 1
We make Target our guests' preferred shopping destination by delivering
outstanding value, continuous innovation and an exceptional guest experience—
consistently fulfilling our Expect More. Pay Less.® brand promise.
At PetSmart, we believe pets make us better people. That's why we create more
moments for people to be inspired by pets.
We go to work every day to do one thing: Make Creativity Happen. It was true when
the first Michaels store opened in 1973 and it's still true today.
Pier 1 Imports is dedicated to offering customers distinct home furnishings and décor
at a good value.
6 DIFFERENT STORES:
Dollar Tree
Walmart
Dollar Tree, Inc. is a customer-oriented, value-driven variety store operating at a one
dollar price point. We will operate profitably, empower our associates to share in its
opportunities, rewards and successes; and deal with others in an honest and considerate
way. The company's mission will be consistent with measured and profitable growth.
Walmart Inc.’s corporate vision is to “Be THE destination for customers to save money, no
matter how they want to shop.” “To be the best retailer in the hearts and minds of consumers
and employees”
TARGET
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background. Currently the Target store I stop
by is going through a makeover, which made
it unpleasant because the displays were not
clear and mainly mismatched.
Personnel: I had no one approach me for to
ask me if I needed help. I noticed a lot of the
employee attending to the remodeling of the
store instead of the customers.
Products: The first product I noticed was
the dollar products that are located in front
the of entrance as you walk in.
Customers: I went to the store in the
morning and the average customer that I saw
were moms. Mainly moms in groups and only
a few single customers, which were all young
in their 20-30s.
Feedback: Overall Target is a good
shopping experience however with the store
going through remodeling it just made the
whole experience unpleasant.
PETSMART
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background. Sounds of birds and other pets
filled the store.
Personnel: Once I walked in to the store I
was approach by a sale person asking if I
needed help finding certain food or product.
Products: Products labels were easy to
find, I noticed many of their sales items were
located in the center aisle.
Customers: Many customers range from
ages 20-50 were shopping with their pets.
Also I the pets would be greeted as they
walked with their owners. I saw many
customers shopping in groups with their
family.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers and their pet
customers.
MICHAELS
Environment: The store has high ceiling, and
well lite. There’s soft music in the background.
Candles and Cinnamon acorns fill the store,
which made it feel like fall.

approach by a sale person asking if I needed
help finding certain product or a craft.
Products: Products labels were easy to find,
Hot Items are found right as you checkout.
Customers: Many customers range from ages
20-50 were shopping.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers and were interested in
any crafts they were doing.
