Dollar Tree
Walmart
Dollar Tree, Inc. is a customer-oriented, value-driven variety store operating at a one
dollar price point. We will operate profitably, empower our associates to share in its
opportunities, rewards and successes; and deal with others in an honest and considerate

4. TARGET
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background. Currently the Target store I stop
by is going through a makeover, which made
it unpleasant because the displays were not
clear and mainly mismatched.
Personnel: I had no one approach me for to
ask me if I needed help. I noticed a lot of the
employee attending to the remodeling of the
store instead of the customers.
Products: The first product I noticed was
the dollar products that are located in front
the of entrance as you walk in.
Customers: I went to the store in the
morning and the average customer that I saw
were moms. Mainly moms in groups and only
a few single customers, which were all young
in their 20-30s.
Feedback: Overall Target is a good
shopping experience however with the store
going through remodeling it just made the
whole experience unpleasant.
5. PETSMART
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background. Sounds of birds and other pets
filled the store.
Personnel: Once I walked in to the store I
was approach by a sale person asking if I
needed help finding certain food or product.
Products: Products labels were easy to
find, I noticed many of their sales items were
located in the center aisle.
Customers: Many customers range from
ages 20-50 were shopping with their pets.
Also I the pets would be greeted as they
walked with their owners. I saw many
customers shopping in groups with their
family.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers and their pet
customers.
6. MICHAELS
Environment: The store has high ceiling, and
well lite. There’s soft music in the background.
Candles and Cinnamon acorns fill the store,
which made it feel like fall.
Personnel: Once I walked in to the store I was
approach by a sale person asking if I needed
help finding certain product or a craft.
Products: Products labels were easy to find,
Hot Items are found right as you checkout.
Customers: Many customers range from ages
20-50 were shopping.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers and were interested in
any crafts they were doing.
7. PIER 1 IMPORTS
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background.
Personnel: Once I walked in to the store I
was approach by a sale person asking if I
needed help finding certain product, or décor
item. The Sales person show me many of
their items that 15% off.
Products: Products labels were easy to
find, Clearance Items were found at the back
of the store.
Customers: Many customers range from
ages 20-50 were shopping.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers.
8. DOLLAR TREE
Environment: The store did not have high
ceiling, and the lighting was okay. There’s
was music in the background.
Personnel: I had no one approach me for to
ask me if I needed help.
Products: Products labels were easy to
find, Item of the week were pointed out by
balloons and ad posters.
Customers: Many customers range from
ages 20-50 were shopping. Many of the
customers were shopping in groups of
families and friends.
Feedback: Overall, the experience was
okay, where I felt that everything was label
and easy to find and was no really need for a
sales person’s help.
9. WALMART
Environment: The store has high ceiling,
and well lite. There’s soft music in the
background.
Personnel: Once I walked in to the store I
was greeted and was greeted on the way out
as well. I was approach by a sale person
asking if I needed help finding certain
product.
Products: Products labels were easy to
find, I noticed many of their sales items were
located in the center aisle.
Customers: Many customers range from
ages 20-50 were shopping. Many of the
customers were shopping in groups of
families and friends.
Feedback: Overall, it was a great experience
where I felt that the employees truly cared
about their customers.
