Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. PST, the NGO "March Against Monsanto held a synchronized, world-wide, peaceful rally spanning six continents and 421 separate venues. This slideshow captures a section of the community, the people, the issues, and the personality of that participated in Portland, Oregon's event. Organizer, Tiffany Ayers, and her handful of friends and volunteers hosted the world's second largest rally, topped in attendance only by New York City, New York.

Pete Simpson, Public Information Officer, emphasized that registering for special events has
nothing to do with monitoring free speech and everything to do with keeping traffic moving
and people safe. He provided some practical tips to families for staying safe in crowds.

of the millennial generation. The tie in with Monsanto? “Has to do with the right to govern
ourselves…link between our environment and our own survival. We’re looking for heroes

sign was unmistakable. Josh spoke about the havoc that GMO’s wreak on the human
body. “We have to start with labeling, but people won’t pay attention to labels. We need
