4. Damaged stock on receipt in godowns or
detected in depot, shall be properly checked
and segregated
Each lot shall be kept separately with a stack
card on it declaring the stock as “ UNFIT FOR
HUMAN CONSUMPTION”
One sample from each lot shall be drawn and
sent to Distt. Lab.

Amount of each sample should not be less
than 500 gm
Sample should be dispatched to Distt. Lab.
With 7 days of receipt of the stock
The damaged stock should be carefully
removed from sound grain stock
7. A Categorization Committee (CC) is the
authority responsible for categorization
of stocks
CC should consider the Lab result
analysis as well as physicals aspects of
the stock and categorize stock within 1
month
CC should submit its result reports to
depot in not later than 4 days
9. Disposal
There are rate running contracts with State
Govts. And corporations like Agricultural
Colleges, Dairy Farms, etc.
If no acceptance within 15 days, an All India
Tender Process
Party indicating the highest rate gets the stock
