RULES AND REGULATIONS
The objective of the Scavenger Hunt is to solve the most clues and perform the most tasks accurately
and in the shortest space of time.
The hunt will start PROMPTLY at 9:00am and finish 12:00noon. Participants starting later due to
tardiness will not be allowed extra time.
The Scavenger Hunt consists of 30 clues. These will be based on places of interest, historical
monuments and (bonus points questions) about KIND and VCTT.
The clues/tasks are grouped and rated based on the ease to solve/perform. The harder they are, the more
points they’re worth.
The team with the highest score at the end of the event will be judged thee winner.
Teams will be timed. As such, speed is just as important as solving the clues or performing tasks
accurately. In the event of a tie, the team that solved the clues the in the least amount of time will be
declared the winner.
No form of vehicular transport is allowed. Any participant seen travelling by officials will be
disqualified.
Teams must stay together at all times. As such, teams are not allowed to split up to divide tasks.
The entire team must be present when returning to base. 20 points will be deducted for each member
who hasn’t returned to base with the group.
Your team cannot assist another.
Teams must complete the score card provided and return it upon returning to base.
Play fair, have fun and try to win; but don’t let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin another
team’s chances of winning. If you do, your team will be disqualified.
You’re here to have fun but do so legally. Breaking the laws of the land will not be tolerated. If you do,
your team will be disqualified.
The judge’s decision is final.
