Kenny Guay was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. His grandparents and parents worked hard for everything they had and taught Kenny the value of working to achieve his goals. Kenny attended several schools in Michigan and enjoyed drama and AV productions classes. He remains active with sports, friends, and family and draws motivation from these strong relationships. Based on his upbringing and interests in science and healthcare, Kenny believes he wants to pursue a career as a doctor to help others.

My Grandparents were born in the 1930’s in Detroit, Michigan. They were raised in a poor family. This
made them work hard for everything they wanted because it was not handed to them. They raised my
parents this way also. I have to now strive for the things I want because these experiences are passed
on from my Grandparents, to my parents, and now on to me.
I was born in Detroit, Michigan as well. I was raised in a way that things don’t come easy, and that you
must work hard to get things that you want. My parents always want the best for me and always expect
that in return. When I was younger I attended two elementary schools, Millside Elementary and Pointe
Tremble Elementary. After that I then attended the Algonquin Middle School, and now I am in Algonac
High School. This is when I took my two favorite classes, drama and Audio/Video (AV) Productions.
These are my favorite classes because I love to act in Drama, and in AV Productions I like to make videos.
During each school year I am always active with sports, friends, and holidays. I play baseball, basketball,
tennis, and football. I enjoy playing sports after school and I also enjoy fishing, biking, and hanging out
with my friends. My close family and best friends motivate me. Me and my family are very close and
share almost everything. Every day we eat dinner together around the table. Our relationship is very
strong. Each holiday my whole family gets together and we celebrate.
With all these influences in my life, I believe that I would want to become a doctor. I enjoy helping
people as much as I can. I would like to pursue this career because I am good in science class and health
class. I learned all of the bones, internal systems, and functions. The way I was raised altered my
decision to this career.
