1 ACTIONS & OPERATIONS – 7th

June 2015
1.1 Power Restoration
Primary line recovery efforts in the period have been directed in Wichap and Epinup over the period.
A further 3,250 feet (2.9% of total line length) of line has been reconstructed and energized during
the period. Total line operational to date is 98,700 feet or 89.4% of total line length.
Pole construction from Wichap repeater to the end of Epinup was completed on the 19th June and
restringing of the Epinup single phase line will be completed by the end of w/c 22 June.
Support to tree trimming at the Governor’s office was also provided during the period – this work
will be completed by 29th
June.
The peak load remains around 2.1 MW or 95% of peak prior to the typhoon with night-time load
around 1.3 MW. CPUC generation load profile from 30th
March to 31st
May is shown in Annex 3.
At 20th
June all three phase customers and 85.8% (1,491 number) of single phase customers have
been reconnected. Details are shown in Annex 2.
1.2 Water Restoration
Well restoration is complete across Weno.
1.3 Sewer System
Daily pumping operations continued on all lift stations;
1.4 Procurement
Essential materials have now started to arrive in Weno from the first purchase orders placed. CPUC is
still awaiting confirmation of USAID funding balance from IOM/USAID – further procurement is on
hold until that point.
1.5 Operations Financing
Operations continues to be financed from revenues – a detailed update on CPUC financial position
will be included in the June monthly report.
2 PROGRESS
Progress to date versus initial target is indicated in the Annexes 1 to 3 below.
Restoration progress summary charts are shown in Annex 2 & 3.

To date full supply has been restored to 89.4% of the network – the three phase line from Blue
Lagoon corner in Neauo to Wichap Repeater has been rebuilt..
3.2 Liaison with other agencies
3.2.1 IOM
IOM will be acting as the contact agency for CPUC procurement of emergency materials under the
USAID funding program. The disbursement methodology is still being worked out between USAID
and OIM
3.2.2 Pohnpei Utility Corporation
PUC are supporting CPUC with 2 no. 4 man crews. A request has been made to retain one crew for
the first two weeks in July by which time it is anticipated that full system coverage will have been
restored.
3.2.3 National Government
CPUC CFO is liaising with FSM National Finance to disburse funds for the ongoing procurement.
Purchase contracts have been forwarded along with an anticipated disbursement plan.
3.3 Weather Advisory From National Weather Service Tiyan Guam
The latest weather advisory updates from NOAA can be obtained from the link below:

Note – CPUC Sewer and Water Systems are fully restored to pre-typhoon conditions. Relevant maps
of these systems have now been deleted from the report.

TYPHOON MAYSAK - 29 MARCH 2015 Restoration Report to Saturday 20 June 2015 Issued 21 June 2015 Page 3 of 11 1 ACTIONS & OPERATIONS – 7th June to 20th June 2015 1.1 Power Restoration Primary line recovery efforts in the period have been directed in Wichap and Epinup over the period. A further 3,250 feet (2.9% of total line length) of line has been reconstructed and energized during the period. Total line operational to date is 98,700 feet or 89.4% of total line length. Pole construction from Wichap repeater to the end of Epinup was completed on the 19th June and restringing of the Epinup single phase line will be completed by the end of w/c 22 June. Support to tree trimming at the Governor’s office was also provided during the period – this work will be completed by 29th June. The peak load remains around 2.1 MW or 95% of peak prior to the typhoon with night-time load around 1.3 MW. CPUC generation load profile from 30th March to 31st May is shown in Annex 3. At 20th June all three phase customers and 85.8% (1,491 number) of single phase customers have been reconnected. Details are shown in Annex 2. 1.2 Water Restoration Well restoration is complete across Weno. 1.3 Sewer System Daily pumping operations continued on all lift stations; 1.4 Procurement Essential materials have now started to arrive in Weno from the first purchase orders placed. CPUC is still awaiting confirmation of USAID funding balance from IOM/USAID – further procurement is on hold until that point. 1.5 Operations Financing Operations continues to be financed from revenues – a detailed update on CPUC financial position will be included in the June monthly report. 2 PROGRESS Progress to date versus initial target is indicated in the Annexes 1 to 3 below. TYPHOON MAYSAK - 29 MARCH 2015 Restoration Report to Saturday 20 June 2015 Issued 21 June 2015 Page 5 of 11 To date full supply has been restored to 89.4% of the network – the three phase line from Blue Lagoon corner in Neauo to Wichap Repeater has been rebuilt.. 3.2 Liaison with other agencies 3.2.1 IOM IOM will be acting as the contact agency for CPUC procurement of emergency materials under the USAID funding program. The disbursement methodology is still being worked out between USAID and OIM 3.2.2 Pohnpei Utility Corporation PUC are supporting CPUC with 2 no. 4 man crews. A request has been made to retain one crew for the first two weeks in July by which time it is anticipated that full system coverage will have been restored. 3.2.3 National Government CPUC CFO is liaising with FSM National Finance to disburse funds for the ongoing procurement.
