vitally concerned with population, because health
in a group depends upon the dynamic relationship
between the numbers of people, the space which
they occupy and the skill that they have acquired in
providing for their needs. The main sources of
demographic statistic in India are population
censuses, National Sample Surveys, registration of
vital events, and demographic study.
