Any student entering grades 7
through 9, who is at least proficient in
mathematics and reading or writing
Program Overview
The camp is an epistemological (theory of knowledge) study of

grasp questions that drive our intellectual aspirations. Students
will be placed in equal-sized, multi-aged groups. Each group is
lead by a master teacher and three to five Master of Arts in
Teaching (MAT) graduate students.
Teacher Leaders
Mike Taber, Associate Professor of Education at Colorado College will lead the camp.
Dr. Taber works closely with a team of master teachers selected from area middle
schools for their teaching philosophies that support the integration of science and math
with the arts. The master teachers will mentor a team of MAT graduate students who
will be involved in developing many of the lessons.
