I am a formercollegiate andprofessional football player,havingfinishedmycareer withthe Houston
Stallionsin2011. Incollege,firstatthe Universityof Mary Hardin-Baylorwhere Iwasa startingfree
safetyandwide receiverandin2002 we advancedand wonthe American SouthwestNCAA Conference
Championship. Next, Iwasat the Universityof Texas,where Istartedasa free safety,backupreceiver
and kickand puntreturnerandmy studieswere inSportsScience withaminorinNutrition. Thisgave
me the knowledge andexperience toprepare me tobe a sports performance coach. From2004 to
2006, I movedtoSan Diego,CA and playedforthe SanDiegoThunderArenaFootball team. Ithen
became a CrossFitLevel 1Trainerin 2008 afterI movedbackto Houston and continuedonto also
receive aCrossFitLevel 2Coaches’certificate thereafter. In2010-2011, I playedSlotreceiverforthe
HoustonStallionsandretiredfromfootballdue toa torn ACL, which inturn all while atthe same time I
had acquireda position atCAPElite andCAPCrossFitas a speedspecialistandCrossFit
Coach/programmer. In2011-2012, I decidedtocontinue myeducationin nutrition,re-enrolledin
school, andattendedLonestarCollegeinThe Woodlands. Alsofurtheringmyeducationinnutrition,I
have studiedholisticnutritionandcontinue myeducationthroughenrollmentinformal academic
courses,seminarattendance,andself-study. In2013, I beganworkingat CrossFitNorthHoustonwhere
I was the assistanthead CrossFitCoach fornearly1 year. That venture thenleadme tomy positionat
CrossFitPointBreakas the HeadCoach and ProgramDirector where Ihelpedtotrainandoversee our
advancedathletesandcompetitorstrainingandhelptopreparedthemtocompete onan amateurand
professionallevel inhopestoprepare themforRegionalsandThe CrossFitGameswhichwasthe goal of
the majorityof my athletes. Iam alsoa certified LevelOne SportsPerformance CoachwithUSA
Weightlifting. Ihave continued tocompete athletically,havingadvancedtoThe CrossFitGames
Southcentral Regionalcompetition onbothan individual andteamlevelin 2011 & 2012. Most recentlyI
appearedonSteve Austin’sBrokenSkull Challenge onCMTwhichairedthispast January,andmade it to
the final 4 menout of 8 on the show. Dedicatedtomy craft, I have extensivelystudiedandtrainedusing
OutlawWay,Westside Barbell,RussianConjugate &Conjugate,LiftStrongRunFast,and Underground
LegendsStrengthandConditioning.Myextensive experience inbeinganathlete anddoingsports
performance andsportspecifictraininghashelpedme by utilizingmy knowledgeof those disciplinesby
incorporatingvariouselementsof eachintomyownprogrammingtoday.
I believeinhardworkand leadership. Teamworkandcommunicationisveryimportanttoensure that
the task at hand will be done inthe mostefficientfashion. Ibelieve Ihave anexceptional workethic
and knowledgeof whatittakesto workhard and become successful. Ihave experience inbeingateam
leader,managingsmall andlarge groupsof people,withfocus beingonchildren. Ihave over13 years’
experience inawide range of sportspecifictraining. If giventhe opportunity,Iwouldlovetoshowmy
above andbeyondworkethicinhopesitwouldbe beneficial to the company.
