2. Architect
• The person (in present context) with the academic
qualification of at least Bachelor level of architecture
is called professionally as ARCHITECT
• Architect is a person who
ƒ Design a building
ƒ Is well versed in drawings and volumetric
composition
ƒ Has to know the existing condition
a) Desire/ Need of client
b) Economic condition
c) Coordination with client and contractor
d) Law/medicine
e) Social and cultural constraints
3. • In ancient times, musician, painter, artist and
sculptor plays the role of architect.
4. Architect’s responsibility
• Responsible to make good, eco friendly built
environment.
• Able to do planning, zoning and handling other
allied professional
• Aware of economic condition and requirement
of client
• Follow bye laws and other rules and regulation
of the government
6. Architect as a coordinator of allied
professional
• Architect design a building where building is
constructed in the site with structural drawings
provided by civil/structural engineer
• Sanitation and drainage problem will be solved
by sanitary engineer
• With help of mechanical engineer he should
operate the machines like air conditioners, lift
elevator etc.
7. • With the help of electrical engineer architect
designs the lighting system and placement of
transformers.
• Interior designer help architect to make better
interior space regarding color, texture ,
furniture layout etc.
• Landscape architect helps in providing better
external environment like gardening, pavements
etc.

allied professionals for the desires,
comfort and elegant building construction
purpose.
