1. Countries bad management
of covid-19
By: Felipe Lopez, Juan Sebastian Correa, Juan Pablo Fernandez and Carlos Torres
2. Causes and consequences
Coronavirus have leave 984,000 dead's in the world,32.2 million people have been infec
ted and 22.3 million have recovered.
countries entered in state of quarantine to prevent the expansion of this virus.
Some countries took the correct measures to prevent expansion.
But some other didn’t took the virus seriously and now a days countries such as United states are
facing a massive contagion with thousands of deaths, and falling economies by a 39% of rate.
Countries such as Colombia employment rate has increased to 21% and the economy has felled
by 19%
And Countries such as Philippines has proved to make the right decisions
3. How severe and urgent is the situation?
To start we can say that the world was not prepared for this pandemic the poor management in
many countries has ended up on the total collapse of medical care systems such as the Spain
medical care system, or for example the 6 571 867 million cases in United States that
are consequence that the government haven't taken the correct restriction and decisions at the
correct time, people at the united states don’t even use face masks in public places.
Additionally, a big urgency and severity might be seen in India that is the second country with
more cases worldwide with 5818570 million cases, experts and journalist argue that India might be
seen in a humanitarian tragedy and its economy is really like a war.
4. We made an
interview to a
doctor which
has
have lived the
pandemic up
close. Here are
our results
5. So,What can we conclude about this?
If we analyze this interview, we will be able to find a very interesting cultural perspective as it
shows us a specialized person on this pandemic that has lived from up-close this critical situation
and is living in a country with a lot of active cases like it is Colombia. (Inside the top 10 countries
with more cases)
This makes us think that some of the actions taken by the government regarding biosecurity had
not been as effective as we would like to be.
Also, that the problem had come from many others that were previously noticed but not
resolved.
If we have solved problems like the poor education in the country people would be more aware
about how this virus could take their lives away, from them and their loved people.
14. Conclusions of the survey
Spain:2 surveys were conducted to Spanish citizens, both people have been affected by covid-19
they both suffered from the virus.
One of them thinks that the country have made a bad job with the management, but as well they
both thinks that their country have been very affected by the virus, also it thinks that the
measurements of the country have been useful to some extent, this person also think that the
health system of the country is stable and its out of risk of collapsing , and this is thanks of the
governmental decisions.
The second person thinks that the country have been affected but not too much, also he thinks
that the measurements of the country haven't been useful, he thinks that their health system is
stable and thanks to government. So we can say that Spain had been affected drastically by
Covid-19 but still health care systems are working correct thanks to the restrictions imposed by
the government.
15. Mexico
Mexico: 2 surveys were conducted to Mexican People, one of the citizens argues that she
have been affected by the covid-19, both think that Mexico haven't make a great job
controlling the Covid, they think that the country have been very affected , also that the
measurements that the country have made aren't useful, to add the health system is at the
point of collapse and that is fault of the country poor decision.
16. Germany
Germany: one survey ,she have been affected by
the covid-19, her government have made a great
job with the virus, but her country have been very
affected, the measurements have been useful , her
health system is good but not thanks to the
government.
17. Canada
2 surveys were conducted, one of them have
been affected by the covid, to add they think
different about the effects that the covid have
in the country:
one thinks that the country is good, and the
other don’t, both thinks that the health system
is good and its thanks to the government.
18. USA
She haven't been affected by covid ,
she also thinks that the country
have made a bad job receiving the
country, she says that the country
have been seriously affected, but
she thinks that the measurements
have been a little bit useful, she also
thinks that the country health
system is good and that this is
thanks to the government.

19. Considering the surveys which country have
a better management?
Considering the surveys we can see that the country's that have a better management of Covid
were Spain, Canada and Germany which are the ones that have a better view of the citizens
talking about Covid, then USA which have been seriously affected as they make quarantine and
using mask after 4 months of the arrive of the virus and finally Mexico which its health system is
the point of collapse and have been the most affected comparing the surveys citizens points of
view.
20. What can we do to
change this situation?
As an immediately solution, what we could
do is trying to respect the biosecurity
measures that has been proved that are
effective for fighting against the virus. This
include social distance from at least 2 meters,
use the mask properly and don't taking it off
and avoid face-to-face social meetings.
We could also make conscious people which
are not aware of the critical situation all
around the world.
Respecting the action that has not been taken
by the government, what we could do is
applied ourselves so we could make this
situation end as fast as possible.
