ROLE OF ICT IN ASSESSMENT IN LEARNING

and stored and can easily be retrieved.

CURRENT TRENDS IN ASSESSMENT IN LEARNING
WOLPER-GAWRON (2010), THE 21ST CENTURY
ASSESSMENT INCLUDES:
 Utilizing multiple measures of assessment
 Increasing the use of technology
 Focus on the growth and development of the
learner
 Differentiating the roles and responsibilities of the
teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
 The concept of the classroom has been shifting
in recent years with dedication to purposefully
designed learning spaces and seamless
integration of technologies, (Williams, 2017).
 Educational technology is used to increase the
efficiency of education in teaching, learning,
and assessment (Keser and Ozcan, 2011).
HOLISTIC ASSESSMENT
(also called “INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT”)
focuses on the assessment of the whole work
activities rather than specific elements.
 underpinned by professional judgment
 can reduce the time for assessment
 can promote greater equity in the
assessment process.
Holistic Assessment
CONTINUOS TESTING (CT) is a software
development process in which applications
are tested continuously throughout the entire
software development life cycle (SDLC).
