10. Current TechnologyCurrent Technology
State of the art molding technology
3-D printers on hand for rapid prototyping of parts.
Full in house machine shop with high speed multi-axis
machining centers.
Direct electronic transfer from CAD to CNC prototyping
capability.
All phases of plant floor networked for real time computer
access to check status on any process or order.
Fully automated high speed wire processing machinery.
Fully automated welding processes producing 700 welds
per hour. This machinery built in house with current
personnel and equipment.
11. Engineering/Tool RoomEngineering/Tool Room
TOOL ROOM CAPABILITY
Judco’s 6 man shop has personnel that are highly
trained and experienced in mold making,
prototyping, and machining of all types of jigs
and fixtures.
Our equipment consists of two Mini Haas machine
centers with high speed capability for prototyping
and one Haas VF1 used for mold making.
Also included are lathes, surface grinders and 4
Bridgeport mills. Newly acquired CamWorks
(cad/cam system) provides reduction in
programming time and file sending to mold
makers. Elysium provides Catia read/write
translator for more efficient communications with
Tier 1 engineers.
12. Wire CapabilitiesWire Capabilities
7 fully automated Komax 333 wire
processing machines.
1 automated Komax 110 bench-top
machine.
All machines capable of both single and
double end terminations.
2 High speed Cadera wire processing
machines capable of processing 4500 wires
per hour.
Sophisticated crimp force monitors for
exacting crimps.
Wire processing done on a continuous 24
hour / 3 shift schedule.
Can process wire gauges from 12g to 26g.
13. Molding CapabilitiesMolding Capabilities
Full service custom injection molding department to
handle all of your plastic design, production, and
assembly needs.
19 injection molding machines:
(10) - 28 ton machines
(2) - 55 ton machines
(2) - 66 ton machines
(3) - vertical "shuttle type" machines
(2) – 110 ton machine
Department runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Over 400,000+ parts are produced on a daily basis.
Constant "on-line" quality checks. PPM figures and scrap
material tracked on a department and machine specific
basis.
We have the expertise and closed loop machines to mold
close tolerance, intricate parts.
We are a manufacturer first, so we design based on
"manufacturability”.
14. 3D scanner
Scanning the die cast components enables our process engineers to have a
complete understanding of how the die cast process effects actual product
geometry compared to CAD nominal.
Scanned part images are generated via the 3D scanner, color gradients
illustrate out of tolerance conditions. Green areas indicate an intolerance
condition, red indicates an out of tolerance condition. Real time feedback
from scanned castings allow the process engineers to adjust process
parameters to correct out
15. Spectrometer
All zinc alloy received arrives with material certifications
ensuring alloy elements comply with specifications.
Our spectrometer enables the metrology department to
determine the actual element make up of our castings.
16. Metal flow simulation software
Flow simulation performed prior to tool build ensures optimal gate
and runner design for high pressure zinc die casting. Proper gate
geometry and location is a critical tool design consideration.
17. Engineering StrengthsEngineering Strengths
Engineering Capability
