2. This is the Distribution ident for our film, it is called Deranged pictures and fits in
with our genres. The use of colour for our background helps to support the
horror/thriller genre within our film as it is a merky red colour.
3. Inspirational Films
• Hostel – we are using hostel as one of our inspirational films
- We like the way the group in the beginning get drugged and then taken to another
place
- we are going to use this type of storyline in our teaser trailer as we are going to
drug the guy whilst the girl gets kidnapped.
• Taken – we are going to be looking at some of the shots used in taken
- when the girl gets taken
- the scenes in which she is being looked for
- we are going to adapt these to our films as our storyline is inspired by Taken.
• James Bond, Casino Royale – we are going to be looking at the interrogation scene
from this film.
- When he is sat on a chair in the middle of a room with one man
- Changing it to a girl with a black/brown bag over head, trying to escape.

6. Storyline
• A girl and a boy go backpacking in the
countryside
• They go to a youth hostel where there
are already a group of youths there.
• They make ‘friends’ with them and sit He then wakes up in the youth hostel
room and asks around for where the girl

• Our target audience is 16-25 year olds, this is
mainly because of our storyline as this would
really appeal to this age range.
• Also our inspirational films had an impact on
our chosen target audience because their
target audiences are around the 16-25 age
group.
9. Genre
• Our teaser trailer is going to be a hybrid genre
• This means that there are more than one
genres within our piece.
• Our three genres are: Crime, Thriller and
Action.
10. Primary Research
• We are going to do vox pops in order to
understand the needs of our target audience
more so we can make sure our teaser trailer
and film really appeals to our target market.
• We are also going to be doing interviews with
people in the 16-25 age group, this is going to
allow us to understand more of what they
want from a crime/action/thriller film in more
depth.
11. Distribution
• Our film will be marketed and distributed in
the same way as Taken was distributed, as it is
a Hollywood blockbuster we are going to use a
blanket release strategy this means that the
film will be marketed and then released to as
many cinemas at possible all over the world.
