Experience
General Manager (Feb 21, 2013– Present)
Woodland Mall Teavana (3195 28th Street SE #D113 Grand Rapids, Michigan 49512)
Starting as a sales associate, I worked my way up the management ladder to managing my own
Teavana Loose Leaf Tea store in 6 months. I have been managing upwards of 12 staff, writing
schedules, hiring/promoting employees, and selling tea in this fast paced retail store since.
Teavana is a Starbucks company, and as such it demands much discipline and mental alertness. I
have an affinity for sales, and I also enjoy training others how to sell.
Natural Resource Intern (May 15, 2011– August 15, 2011)
Hopewell Culture National Historic Park (16062 State Route 104 Chillicothe, OH 45601)
During this Internship I learned and applied skills regarding invasive plant removal, in order to
maintain a more natural environment. I drove government vehicles and trailers, applied chemical
pesticides, and used heavy machinery. I also performed Amphibian and Bird surveys. Working for
the National Park Service also provided me with the experience of working for a government
agency, and all the policies and procedures included therein.
Farmhand Intern (June 9, 2011– January 30, 2012)
Sustainable Agriculture Project (4539 Luce Street, Allendale, MI)
I was held responsible for the successful growth and harvest of vegetables on a small scale,
sustainable farm. Duties included planting crops, irrigating, weeding, checking soil conditions,

pruning, harvesting, and selling our produce at various farm stands. This internship taught me not
only how much work goes into what we eat, but also the magnanimous impact our food has on
the earth.
