2. • The contents page is set out on one page. Half of the page is taken up by the touring special which
emphasizes the fact that NME readers enjoy going to gigs and may want to find out if their favourite band
is coming to a city near them. The rest of the articles in the magazine is split up into different sections;
news, radar, reviews, live and feature. This makes it easy for the reader to understand what the articles are
based on and can skip to the section they are interested in. However the contents page gives off the opinion
that its targeted for a younger audience because of the lack of text and information, and it appears to be
mainly picture led. They have placed an advert in the bottom right hand corner to encourage readers to
subscribe to the magazine and get it weekly.
