It is my pleasure to recommend Jose Rivas for a position with your company. I am the Regional Vice
President of Federal Building Services, a facilities management company. I have known Jose for
approximately 14 years and it was a great honor to work side by side such an individual. His knowledge in
facilities operations/management, security, and engineering surpassed all of our expectations.
He has served in numerous positions within our company including leading our risk management and
safety committee as well as the Regional Vice President of the Puerto Rico region. Jose started as a Project
Manager in Richmond Virginia and was quickly promoted to Regional Manager. He demonstrated the
ability to lead and develop a staff of 300 plus employees, successfully managed his budget,and provide the
customer and Federal with excellent quality control results.
Through this, Jose demonstrated his leadership and management skills as a Regional Facilities Director
overseeing 16 different locations spread over 5 states and also was responsible for 11 locations in Puerto
Rico. In handling this, Jose was again successfulin employee training and development, budget controls
and quality controls. Jose also filled positions of Director of Operations for Forest City, Madison
Marquette,and Taubman Corp, where he again displayed his knowledge of the industry.
Jose is an excellent team builder and a results driven manager. He is a quality employee and an even better
person and would be an excellent addition to any company.
