Summary
With 20+ years of business process experience, I'm dynamical solution designer who focuses on business success
through delivering application that meet business requirements, applications that are robust but flexible to adapt to
changing business processes. Strong knowledge of Logistics planning and execution for LA and NA regions. I have
participated in large global implementations for Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry (FMCG) during the past 10
years using SAP R/3 to design & develop solutions for Transportation, Inventory Control and Sales Control
Professional Experience
Company: BrainUp Systems, Mexico City, Mexico - November 2003 to January 2014.
Project: SAP & TMS application for Fast Moving Consumer Goods company (2007 to 2014).
Project description: Connect SAP Sales Orders, Deliveries and Transportation documents to JDA's Transportation
Management System (TMS) using Idoc Interfaces, SAP PI and web XML messages to synchronize events
recorded in both servers.
I started as SAP side Solution Architect in 2007-2009 with TMS LA implementing Mexico and Venezuela. Doing
interface design, ABAP coding and Idoc vs. XML mapping. Clear documentation was submitted to request
approval from application owners. Project delivered large savings because of truck consolidation for multiple
destinations and was the basis for TMS application in other regions like EMEA, ASIA and NA.
In 2009-2010 a larger project team was assembled to implement Brazil, Colombia, Peru & Argentina. My role was
regional design lead supervising five additional SAP solution architects. Application was successfully deployed
to Brazil and Colombia. Peru & Argentina had additional requirements outside scope and were postponed by
the project board.
In 2010-2011 TMS global template was design including requirements from EMEA and Asia. I lead the SAP
implementation for LA deploying re-designed interfaces to: Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru,
Argentina & Chile. Each region has specific requirements that are integrated via customizing tables into a
single global application.
In 2011-2014 TMS was rolled out to NA region that is the largest market for the company and the most complex.
Project involved 100+ resources across all time zones and technologies. I was responsible for correct interface
of order quantities, weight and volume; Dangerous goods and Accounts Payable interfaces. Number of
interfaces was now 25. Application was deployed to 200+ sites in USA and Canada, standardizing (for the first
time ever in 20+ years of usage) SAP Order-Shipping-Billing cycle in all regions. I was the main contact among
project team and Help Desk that inherit the application at the end of the project.
During 2013 I was promoted to the TMS global team, representing TMS in multifunctional meetings (Order
Management, Order cubing, Accounts Payable, Server Performance, SAP XI, etc...). Besides direct
implementation in NA, I was also responsible for TMS architecture for all regions.
Other projects (2005 to 2007).
Several developments for cardboard mill production control and costing. Spare part revaluation and obsolescence
report. Fixed asset inventory interface for bar code readers and SAP Fixed Asset Management. Pallet control
for finish goods, developed for Mexico distribution centers, implemented through LA region with large savings
in Chep pallet inventory.
I also did internal resource training and support in SAP SD and MM requirements. At one time we had 20 internal
resources working on different projects within this customer.
SAP Projects for international FMCG company in Mexico (2003 to 2005).
Material Master data migration from local to regional server. Material master unit of measure conversion routines
were developed because regional material master had different units of measure for same material family. This
was a milestone in the project and was delivered according to schedule.
Sales history extract to load regional data base in COGNOS enabling faster analysis based on graphic data
models and flexible (ad-hoc) user queries.
Lead designer and developer for Warehouse Inventory Control (outside of SAP) and Delivery document Picking
application handling 90%+ sales volume in Mexico. Application was deliver in time for new facility start up and
work as expected from the very start because extensive testing was done and users were well trained.
Company: Sara Lee Branded Apparel - Mexico City, Mexico - from November 2000 to July 2003.
Project Manager
AS/400 security officer and IT room manager. Planning and execution of main AS/400 server transfer to USA
server hub, without any negative impact to local business. Migration plan included thorough testing of Disaster
Recovery Plan (DRP) prior to final migration. Transfer avoided a costly server upgrade in Mexico site, since
USA was able to get a larger server in the used machine market. Responsible of DRP development and
implementation. DRP was then replicated to other servers and companies within the Sara Lee Corporation.
User support and development of application for Payroll and Finance, handling industry specific requirements like
retroactive payrolls and adjustments due to labor union contract.
Support for MOVEX implementation, tasks involved operating system support and performance tuning.

documents; a substantial effort was dedicated to migration verification tool deployed by the team to help the end
users in account balance verification. This was a critical business request with legal impact and large savings due
to SAP R/2 shutdown avoiding R/2 maintenance fees.

Taxes and Cost control departments with day to day requirements and end user training. One example was
