2. What is Audience Profiling?
Audience Profiling is the act of finding the most
common attributes to the audience you are
trying to appeal to. This is a key step for media
producers as this goes to show that they know
exactly what it is that the audience are looking
for and why they seek it.
3. Demographics and Psychographics
Demographics
Demographics describe the
quantifiable principles of an
audience, something that is
applicable to many people. This
includes:
• Age
• Gender
• Culture
• Ethnicity
• Nationality
• Employment Status
Psychographics
Psychographics are a more
personal set of principles to any
audience, something that is not
mutually exclusive to a given set
of people. Examples like:
• Religion
• Ideology
• Mindset
• Attitudes
• Interests
• Sexuality
