Mountain Divisions local visibility within the community by
contributing to over 50 published photos, 16 news releases and being the unit’s liaison officer for 4 media
engagements, enhancing command information and media relations.
 Developed and provided timely, professional and effective visual information products for the command
teams for base and unit level training events including the Expert Infantryman Badge, Combined Arms Live
Fire Exercise, Post wide Air Assault School, Urban Combat Leaders Course and Rifle Marksmanship Course.
 Successfully established and maintained productive working relationships with project developers, local
business owners, TV and radio stations, corporate vendors, and Military units for Base wide social events
including the Annual Swamp Run, Tour de Polk, and The Amazing Ft. Polk Race.

Infantry Paratrooper/Team Leader & Rifle Squad Leader
 Directed subordinates and superiors by proving tactical and technical guidance while forecasting and
operating in a high-pressure environment.
 Supervised and led a team of heavy weapons specialists, educating and applying hands-on training for them
to succeed in the team's operations and tasks.
 Deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2012 to Logar Province Afghanistan at remote outposts
such as COP Kherwar, COP Charkh, FOB Altimur, and FOB Shank, as the weapons squad leader for a 9-man
element. Subject matter expert on the ITAS TOW missile systems, M240B, Mk 19, .50 cal MG, and the M249
Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW).
 During a deployment, conducted more than 30 dismounted combat patrols in highly hazardous conditions
over a 2 month period in COP Kherwar. Over the total 9 month deployment, completed 50 route clearance
missions, 45 dismounted IED clearance patrols, 8 quick reaction assignments in support of 75th Ranger
Regiment operations, and 10 air assault missions in support of Task Force 10 (10th Special Forces Group)
and the Strategic (Special) Forces Advisory Team (SFAT)
