As designers, most of our day-to-day activities require us to be creative. Is creativity really a phenomenon like some formal definitions say, or is it the output of intentional activity? For me, itโs usually messy and erratic, sometimes frustrating - but always a rewarding intentional activity. Recently I found myself spending less and less time creating things and decided to go back to an intentional practice of being creative. While my practice activities had little to do with my design work, the intention act made me a better designer and design leader. This case study will go over my year practising creativity and all the lessons I learned from it.
