Profile of Recent Experience
I have been involved in most aspects of the luxury yacht charter and marine tourism
industry for 16 years primarily in Australia as an owner/operator and in the
Mediterranean in the capacity of vessel manager and captain/engineer.
My experience encompasses, vessel management, crew training and management,
vessel refits, engine Maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, desalination, solar
and wind energy systems, plumbing, sails and rigging, route planning and navigation,
general cleaning and maintenance, marine interaction tours, sport fishing.
Experiences in the last 6 years have been predominantly on 62ft and 52ft sailing
catamarans. Other vessels include shallow draft coral viewing and snorkeling 41ft, dive
charter 54ft, luxury motor yachts 75ft.
Previous Maritime Experience
June 2012 to October 2014: (562 days, over 8500nm ) sailing catamaran “Gone With
The Wind II”, 62ft, private luxury yacht.
Position: Captain and engineer, vessel management.
Job description: Route planning, guest liaison, excursion co-ordination, navigation,
watch and helm operations, sail selection and setting, maintenance and servicing, refit
management, customs and port control liaison, purchasing control, guest safety
induction, end of season shut down and de-rigging, start of season re-commissioning,
rigging and re-provisioning.
Location: Adriatic including Montenegro, Croatia, Italian north, east, south and west
coasts, Sicily, Malta, Greek Ionians, Corinth, Peloponnese, Aegean, Cyclades,
Dodecanese, Turkish west and south coast.
2. November 2013 to February 2014: (56 days, over 1000nm) motor vessel “Kia Ora” 54ft, day
and evening events charters

Location: Fremantle Western Australia.
November 2009 to March 2012: (272 days, over 4200nm) sailing catamaran “Shore
Thing” 52ft, live aboard marine interaction and dive tours.
Position: Owner/operator and Captain/engineer.
Job Description: Vessel management, navigation, watch and helm operations, sail
selection and setting, engine and equipment maintenance and servicing, crew training
and management, refit management, guest safety induction, guest activity co-ordination.
Location: Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.
September 2009 to November 2009 (55days, over 3200nm) sailing catamaran “shore
Thing” 52ft. Vessel delivery from Cairns North Queensland to Fremantle Western
Australia.
Position: Owner and captain/engineer.
Job Description: Prepare vessel for delivery, route planning, crew management.
August 2008 to September 2009: (103 days, 0ver 6000nm) motor vessel “Equalizer”
56ft, Charter fishing.
Position: First mate, deck hand, assistant engineer.
Job Description: assist guest in all aspects of sport fishing both bottom and game
fishing, general deck duties, cleaning and maintenance, engine servicing, assist in helm
and watch duties.
May 2004 to July 2009: (681 days, over 14,000nm) motor vessel “Kurni Ku” 41ft, marine
interaction and dive tours.
Position: Owner/operator and Captain/engineer.
Job Description: Navigation and helm operations, engine and equipment maintenance
and servicing, refit management, crew training, cyclone preparations, guest activity co-
