TELUK CHEMPEDAK
Teluk Chempedak is about 3 miles from the town of Kuantan.Teluk
Chempedak Forest Reserve.And if you are up to a little hike,there are
waterfalls and a mini-zoo,play areas for children,monkeys and a lot
more in the area.
ROYAL PEKAN
48km drive south towards the Royal Town.See the resplendent setting of the
Palace of The Sultan of Pahang,polo field,an old locomotive,the Royal Stables,
Museum,Mosque and a silk-weaving centre
BALOK WATER RECREATION CENTRE
At the beachfront,you can find the Balok Water Recreation Center
(Pusat Rekreasi Air Balok),administered by the Kuantan Town Council. Here sports
equipment and other necessary facilities are rented out to the public or groups at very
reasonable prices.Water activities such as kayaking,boating,fishing,sailing and jet-skiing
are available there.Arrangements can also be made for external activity like jungle
trekking at the Teluk Air Tawar Forest Reserve nearby.
TASIK CHINI
A remote natural lake which is home to a large settlement of Orang Asli
aborigines.Lake Chini by bus Lake Chini Tour:A 1 ½ hour's drive from Kuantan.
Board the motorized sampan at Kg Belimbing to cross Sungai Pahang and Sungai
Chini.The boat cuts across the lake to an Orang Asli settlement for a blowpipe
demonstration.
CHARAH CAVES
The Charah caves have always been the site of a revered Buddhist sanctuary.Visitors may explore
some of the caves and gorges,including one that houses an impressive stone sculpture of the
reclining Buddha.If you are into rock climbing,the Charah Caves is an ideal climbing spot,it takes
approximately 15 minutes to scale to the top.For the more intrepid adventurer,there are a myriad
of other caves to explore.
SUNGAI PANDAN WATERFALLS
About 25 km from Kuantan is the Sungai Pandan Waterfalls.Spanning 11
hectares,it is easily accessible by main road and a 10-km stretch of paved
road. The waterfalls are about 100 metres high and consist of a series of
cascading rapids,culminating in a large sparkling pool,excellent for
revitalizing the senses after a dip.Enjoy the serenity of nature under the
shade of tropical foliage.
KUANTAN
Kuantan and the surrounding area is full of culture,the Kuantan coast
offers an easy glimpse into everyday Malay life.Any trip to the area
requires at least a quick tour of the town of Kuantan.The town is
remarkably friendly and easily to explore on foot.Mosques give the
town's architecture an exotic feel. The colonial-styled Courthouse and
Handicraft Center adds contrast.
OLD KUANTAN
Old Kuantan is still alive,and a walk down Jalan Besar (literally "Big Street")
will take you back in time a little.The town's Hindu and Buddhist temples are
located in this area.

HORSEBACK RIDING
Equestrian lovers can spend hours telling you about getting closer
to nature by exploring it on horseback or the thrill of a fast canter along
the water’s edge.The Horses are very well looked after and located just
down the road from the resort.Endurance horses are available for riding
lessons as well as longer rides on the beach.
TURTLE WATCHING
Cherating is among the favorite spots to watch the giant leatherback turtles
nesting and laying their eggs on the shore at certain times of the year,normally
during early May to October.You can also see the turtles coming ashore on
our beach.It is a very special experience to witness,a life memory

Two person kayaks cost RM 15 per hour,Rm 60 per day

RIVER BOAT TRIP
Very nice relaxing trip up the mangrove river to see wildlife with the help of your
friendly guide.You could see snakes,water monitor lizards,otters,monkeys,
birds,turtles and many more creatures of the jungle.Cost Rm 35 per person for
the2 hour trip if without Transport.
FIRE-FLY BOAT TRIP AT NIGHT
Trip up the mangrove river at night to see the lovely display of insects flashing
on and off like Christmas lights.Cost Rm 35 per person for the 2 hour trip
without Transport.
WINDSURFING
The lagoon at Cherating is a great place to learn or improve your skills.
Cost to hire equipment is RM25 per hour and instruction for an extra RM5.
Surfing is available during monsoon months (November-March).Average
wave heigh 3-5 feet.Sand under foot so very safe for beginners.
Cost to hire board is Rm15 per hour and RM60 per day.Boogie boards
and wave skis also available.
SNORKELING
Don’t forget your mask and fins! The snorkeling is the best area in the
nearby island.There are many different types of fish and coral to explore.
WHITE WATER RAFTING
Heart pounding,gut-wrenching,totally exhilarating! How else would you describe a ride on nature's
roller-coaster? For some,a run down churning,thundering rivers is the ultimate adventure.For these
thrill seekers,Malaysia has rivers that would put any amusement park ride to shame.Other Locations
and Guides are always on hand to assist you as are we.The journey down the rapids can be on an
inflatable dinghy,bamboo raft,or the traditional sampan (dugout canoe).The best river wilds in
Pahang can be found in Sungai Tembeling and Jeram Besu in Pahang.
