1. Week 15
TO DO THIS WEEK-
This draft focuses on two things-the body of verbal argument, (does it “flow” well?) and
research (does the research provide support and evidence for your thesis?) This should be
around four pages, double spaced.
DUE- Sunday, April 26, at 11:59
WHATS YOUR ORGANIZATION PATTERN?
In your mindmap you’ve identified an organization pattern. Format this draft based on that
pattern. For example, if you’re research fits more naturally into a parts to whole pattern,
your rough draft might be small essays that build up to your thesis.
Think of this draft as a fleshed-out outline. It doesn’t have to be MLA formatted, and
depending on what kind of platform you’re thinking of using for the presentation, this draft
might be more of a compilation of short essays on the different concepts within your topic.
These short essays can then be used as “articles” or “sections” of your presentation.
GETTING STARTED

What subtopics to do want to cover? List these out to help you organize your draft.
Where should your thesis be placed? Does it fit more naturally at the beginning, middle, or
end?
What do you want your readers to come away thinking about?
Where are your graphics and images going to be placed?
