District PMSMA Nodal Person.
2. Sensitization meeting under the Chairmanship of the District
Magistrate & CDHO at the district level. Minutes of Meeting
should be shared with State.
3. Mapping & Line listing of facilities for conducting PMSMA and
private providers willing to support the initiative.
4. Orientation and Capacity Building of stakeholders and
service providers.
5. Logistic Supply & Drugs Management.
6. IEC: Banner/Wall paintings at all PHI, Local Cable, Hording etc.
7. Community Mobilization through ASHA/ ANM.
8. Monitoring & Evaluation.

4. OPERATIONALIZATION OF PMSMA FACILITY
• PMSMA services should be operationalized at MCH, DH,
SDH, CHC- FRUs, non CHC FRUs, 24X7 PHC & PHC.
• Availability of Gynecologist / Obstetrician / MBBS – MO
should be available at PMSMA Facility.
• Minimum MBBS MO should be there with availability of
Basic LabTest Services & EDL drugs at facility.
• For facility do not have USG services, can do MOU with
private clinics.

5. Pre -requisites for Health Facilities organizing
Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan:
Essential Pre – requisites: Desirable Pre – requisites:
1. Human Resources ;
• ANM/GNM
• BEmOC trained Medical Officer
• Lab Technician
• Pharmacist
• ANM/SN/ trained in counselling
2. USG: Sonologist/Radiologist for USG
(In house or from private sector).
3. Lab Investigations:
• Hemoglobin
• Urine Albumin and Sugar Blood Sugar
• Malaria
• VDRL, HIV, Blood Sugar
• Blood Grouping
1. Human Resources ;
• SBA Trained ANM/GNM
• Obstetrician and Gynecologist (In
house or from private sector)/ CEmOC
trained Medical Officer
• RMNCHA counsellor
2. Lab Investigations:
• Fasting and Post Prandial Blood Sugar
• HIV (Pre and Post)
• Rh incompatibility
