1. Proposal
ProjectIdea:
For my project I propose a run and gun game. In this game you will battle a series of bosses,
based on TV and movie characters. The player will gain new attacks and powers as they beat
new bosses. The screen will be fixed, and the boss battles will take place on a stationary
screen. The player will have to use their knowledge of TV and Movies in order to figure out
their weaknesses. I plan to use knockoff characters in order to avoid any problems with the
rights to use character.
The story is you control the figure of a man who has fallen asleep in front of the TV and
must fight through the waves of characters to wake up. The basic game mechanics will be
the player firing a gun at an enemies’ weak spot until they win, whilst being attacked in a
variety of different ways by the enemy.
It would be aimed at an audince of late teens to early twenties (16-22). This is largest gamer
base as wellas them being large consumers of other media. It will not perticularlly be
aimeda at any gender as both genders can be avid gamers. In order to appeal to this
audience I will keep the game fast paced and make sure there is humour involved.
