Objective:
1. Play simple ostinato patterns using rhythmic
instruments and other sound sources
Opening Song & Prayer
Presentation
 Tap the following rhythmic patterns.
 Read the chant while tapping the rhythmic pattern.
Discussion
 Let’s clap the rhythmic pattern repeatedly until you
become familiar with it.
 Let’s watch a video about rhythmic pattern.

Discussion
 You can show steady beat by walking, clapping,
tapping, chanting, and playing instruments.
 We use other sources of sound like bottle, pencil, drums
and sticks.
 The rhythmic pattern was repeatedly played until
the end of the song.
 The repeated rhythmic pattern used to accompany a
song is called ostinato.
Application
Watch the video and try to learn the song to learn
ostinato.

 The repeated rhythmic pattern used to accompany a
song is called ostinato.
 It can be played using rhythmic instruments and other
sound sources.
Evaluation
Learn the Canoe Song. Ask a partner at home and
the ostinato. You may use some musical instrument or
other sources of sounds. Take a video while singing and
post it on the Messenger GC.
