Autobiography Assignment Sheet
Paragraph 1: Introduction 3-5 sentences describing:
Who you are, where and when you were born, who you were born to
(parents), measurements (length and weight)
Example:
1st sentence- Introduction- Get your audience’s attention!
State an interesting fact about yourself
Write a quote
Ask a question

2 -4 sentence- Talk about who you are, where and when you were
born, who your parents are, measurements, etc.
5th sentence- State what your autobiography is going to be about.
Example:
I am going to tell you about my childhood, family, and future
goals.
Paragraph 2: Early Life Describe at least 3 events from your early childhood.
Make sure your events are in sentence form and story-like. Be creative, lists
can be boring. This paragraph should be very detailed. You should use
transition words: first, next, finally, etc.
Example: Introduction sentence- I have many memories from my
childhood. Three are my favorites are…
Then write 1st memory
My next memory is… (Write second memory)
And finally, my third memory is… (Write third memory)
Paragraph 3: Family Describe your family (mom, dad, grandparents,
siblings, and pets). Write about at least 3 family members or stories about
your family that you remember vividly. (This paragraph should also be
very detailed.)
Example: Introduction sentence- I love my family.
Tell about 1st family member.
My next family member I’m going to tell you about is… (Write about
second family member)
Last, the third family member is… (Write about third family
member.)

Paragraph 4: Future (5 sentences or more) In this paragraph share your goals
for the future or dreams you may have. What do you want to accomplish?
Where do you want to live? What kind of family would you like to have
some day?
Example: Introduction sentence- I have many goals for the future.
Tell about 1st goal.
My second goal is ….
And finally, my last goal is …
I hope I accomplish all of my goals.
Paragraph 5: Conclusion/Closure
3-5 sentences to summarize your autobiography. There are three
ways to conclude you autobiography.
1. Tell why or how you were changed because of these experiences.
2. Relate the experience to the audience.
3. Tell why all of these experiences are important to you.
Remember to indent your
paragraphs.
