2.  A regional government is a government entity
that only has control on their specific small
area. This type of government allows officials
to combine their tax dollars to spend money
more efficiently for the greater good of the
entire area. City-county consolidations are
one example of a regional government.

3. Within their regional territory, the Federated
Region shall have exclusive power over
 Socio- economic development planning;
 Creation of sources of revenue;
 Financial administration and management;
 Tourism, investment, and trade
development;

4.  Infrastructure, public utilities and public
works;
 Economic zones;
 Land use housing;
 Justice system.
 Local government units;
 Business permits and licenses;
 Municipal waters;
 Indigenous peoples rights and welfare;
 Culture and language development;
 Sports development; and
 Parks and recreation.

5.  Federated Regions
• Symmetrical (16 regions)
 16 (including Negrosanon Federated Region)
• Asymmetrical
 Bangsamoro
 Codillera

6.  They have responsibilities to take care of particular
region and enforce the laws that Central
Government passes…Because regional
governments ensure that laws are enforced in their
regions- Central government can concentrate on
issues of national importance rather than being
concerned about the regions.
