The 5C’s
In your workbook I would like you to write a definition of each.

 Content – what’s in the image?
 Composition – is the arrangement of different elements.
What methods and techniques does the photographer use in
  the image?

 Analyse how the lighting, angles, scale, perspective etc and
  technical skills have been used.

 Do they use something in the foreground, middle ground
and back ground to break up the image? If so what effect
does this have on the image?
Context – Why was it taken? And where? What’s the
meaning behind the image? Has it been
exhibited/published? What time period was it taken in and
does this influence the image? What was the photographers
reason for taking it?

Connection – how does it connect to your work and most
important WHY? Is it the message and meaning that you like
in the photographers work or the way in which it is taken?

Comment – what do you think is the meaning behind the
work? What are the strengths and weaknesses in the work?
WHY do you like/dislike it?
