1. OUR STORY
Hanz de Fuko was born in the heart of San
Francisco’s Mission District in February of 2009.
Founders, David Alfonso, Christopher Zent, and
Jarrett Winfield were creative renegade’s eager
to challenge the status quo. The childhood
friends were determined to foster creativity and
individuality in an industry fast becoming all
too corporate.
The concept was to create amazingly effective,
“one-of-a-kind” hair care products that would
also serve as a wonderful testament to the
artist in all of us. It was about having fun,
living with purpose, and staying true to oneself.
To continually perceive things outside of their
common usefulness and see if they can be
re:worked, re:invented, or re:defined. The brand,
“Hanz de Fuko” is a symbolic expression of this
simple ideology.
Every product, from the natural shampoo and
conditioner, to all six styling aids, exhibit the
perfect union of organic ingredients and wildly
inventive brilliance. They re:engineered the best
“pomades & waxes” available by rendering them
water soluble and ridding them of all harsh
chemicals and preservatives. They then took the
standard hair gel and made it “flake free” and
infused ample amounts of various sugar
derivatives for exceptional hold. And finally,
revolutionized what it meant to have clean,
healthy hair by producing the most naturally
effective shampoo and conditioner on the market
today; perfectly “Ph balanced”, free of sulfates,
parabens, and salts.
