How did we come about?

Company background:
Scratch That was formed in 2014 when five hospitality
students had the same love for sandwiches, paninis and
natural juices. We did not want to want be limited to
spread the greatness of fresh food, so we decided to run
our own Food Truck.
We did not want a large menu because we wanted to
focus on freshness and quality. Our main goal is to
provide good food at an affordable price.

Our name Scratch That came from the idea that all
of our ingredients are fresh and made from
scratch. The bread we use come from local
bakeries and the fruit and vegetables we use come
from local farms. It is important to us that
everything is fresh so that we can, not only
provide our customers with quality food but also
help our farmers and the local economy.

*Wewill provideall the assistance needed to improveour menu accordingto
your customer’sneedsand wants.

Franchise Application and Evaluation
Franchise Application Process:
1. Reach out to us!
2. We’ll reach out to you and provide you with the prospectus and the application
3. Like Us? Fill out the Franchise Application form.
4. If you meet our criteria and we approve of your location(s), We will schedule a date and time
where we can go see your site location and approve of your truck.
5. Give us 14 business days to see if your location was approved. At this time, you should have your
food truck ready to go.
6. Want to run your food truck? Pick a date and send us your Franchise Agreement at least 45 days
before your planned opening date. Scratch That will provide you with the manuals and
materials needed once the franchise agreement has been finalized and the fees are paid.
Franchisee Evaluation Criteria
Realistically speaking, we know that you were born knowing you wanted to run a Food Truck, but
there are some things we need to know about you:
1. We need to know if you have business experience, your experience in the restaurant field and
have you managed before? Let us know what skills you have.
2. We need your financial qualifications. We know it is quite an investment to run a food truck,
so we will need to be provided with your initial cash investment and any investments you
have made continuing on.
3. Your Financial Investment:
Truck Cost: $30,000*
Branding cost: $4,000*
Equipment cost: $8000*
Food : $3000*
4. Scratch That for your food truck to succeed, it needs your devotion.
5. This is a long-term commitment. Although at first you may not be profitable, it will come
in time and it will be successful.
6. This is a big step for you, running a food truck. You have to be mentally prepared and
understand what franchising is and fully understand the pros and cons.
*These prices are variable depending where you get your equipment. We will provide the stores we use to
attain these items
*Truck costs do not include maintenance and legal costs to running the food truck

Franchise Fee
With the one time paymentfee Scratch That allowsyou to
use the name, logo, recipesand any other information
needed to operate your Scratch That Food Truck. The
period to franchise is three years, you may extend as long
as the franchisee obliges to Scratch That standards
requirements.
Franchise Fees and other Fees
Royalty Fees- This fee is a charge so you can keep using our
name, recipes, and any connected materials. The royalty fee is
5% of gross sales dueon a monthly basis.
Marketing fees- This fee is to help with advertisement and
promotionsof the franchise. The marketing fee is 2% of gross
sales dueon a monthly basis.
Initial investment- This fee is varied dependingon how much
you spend on your food truck. Wewill provideassistance on
picking the right truck. Wewantour trucksto be as similar as
possible. This fee doesincludethe permitsneeded to park your
food truck. We are not responsiblefor the license plate and
registration tag needed for your food truck.
Site Selection- Although this is a mobile restaurant, we wantto
know where you wantto know your location(s). (The more
location you pick the morefees you are responsiblefor) Wealso
wantto makesure that the sites you chose would makeyour
franchise profitable.

 Choosing your truck,
providewith the vendors
we work with so you can get
your equipmentincluding
but not limited to, griddles,
refrigerator, juicer, the
equipmentnecessary to
cook, and cleaning supplies.

and inform you of any
events going on in area
where we have the
permission to be.
Employee selection
A few months before your grand
openingwerequire you to have
