What is transitive verbs?
When the action is on the object.
Verbs like: resemble, cook, like, equal, agree with, mean, contain, hold,
comprise, lack, suit, fit, become.

Complete the test about passive voice (evaluation)
15:50 – 16:05
When do we use simple past passive?
We use that when the subject is less important.
For complete finished actions and events that happened in the past..
How is the passive voice form?
S + Be verb (past) + PP + C
16:05 – 16:15
Doing the exercises on page. 97.
1. Complete the sentences with was/ were.
2. Put simple past passive verbs into these sentences.
3. Make simple past passive negatives and questions.
16:15 – 16:30

 Reasons to use the passive:
When the subject is unknown or obvious.
To shift focus of the subject.
Sentence variety.
16:30 – 16:50
Present continuous – passive
Structure: S + be verb + being + PP
I am being sent.
We use to express things that happen but not finish.
A long period of time.
Can we use contractions in passive voice?
It depend. Passive is very formal English (do not use contractions in passive).

Doing the exercises on pages. 98, 99.
1. Questions and answers. Use the present progressive passive.
2. Grammar and vocabulary.
