form outer layer skin functions of 
permeability barrier and immune 
response 
The calcitriol hormone-receptor complexes with the 
receptor for 9-cis retinoic acid, then associates with either of 
two co-activators depending on the stage of cell maturity 
1,25(OH)2D (calcitriol) receptors also found on: 
• trophoblasts, osteoblasts, 
• macrophages, active T- and B-lymphocytes, 
• pancreatic islet cells

  1. Burn time is hyperbolic, vitamin D time graph is exponential Brisbane and Hobart A=10% at 12pm
  2. For skin type 2 (recommendations) and all skin types, relationship of vitamin D synthesis to UVI is defined as a log function
