I have a strong affinity for chemistry/mechanics and I am very concerned about the climate and the way we sustain our planet for future generations. Professional Experience:
2014 - … : Today, I’m working as a first technician at TW Hasselt for NMBS Technics. Together
with my colleagues I am responsible for the mechanical part of the maintenance and
reparation of MR 80-83 and MR 96 trains.
2012-2013: For my engineering study I had to perform a scientific study as a Masters’ thesis. I did this
study for a company called ‘METALogic N.V.’ regarding the development of an
adhesive deformation plug for crack detection in hollow railway axles. Due to
confidentiality limitations I cannot give much information about this subject, nor can I
include the report. For this Masters’ thesis (the study, professional attitudes and the
report) I received a combined score of 15,1/20.
2011-2012 : During these two summer holidays I worked for one month at MGX by Materialise.
There I was responsible for the assembly, packaging, coloring and testing of different
types of design lightning. I worked under the supervision of Jean Paul Verreydt.
2009-2013: For a company called Ortec Belgium (part of TSS Belgium), I analyzed soccer games. My
job was to give each action of each player a subjective score during the live broadcast of
Belgian Jupiler Pro League-games. Stress resistance and structured work were of great
importance because every action that occurred on the pitch (approx. 1000 actions in one
game/team) needed to be analyzed and scored.
2004-2010: During my school career I had different additional student (summer) jobs:

IT skills:
The course ‘Computer systems and databases’,which extended and exercised the students use of the
Microsoft Office package was a part of the engineering bachelor program. I studied this course in 2011
so refreshment is needed regarding the use of Microsoft Acces.

Different additional computer programs including Aspen plus 4.2, Latex, Maple, … have been
introduced during my school career. Only the basic functions were introduced and exercised so for an
extended use, additional training is required.
During my time at TW Hasselt I also gathered some experience regarding the use of SAP-modules

Some courses at GroupT were in English. This explains my greater knowledge of English when
compared to French, of which I have a more elementary knowledge. I participated with a TOEC
language test in 2011. I attached the results to this CV.

3. Hobbies:
 Youth movement:
As a member, I was a Scout for about 10 years. Afterwards I was what is called ‘a leader’
(responsible for a certain group of Scouts) for 3 years.
 Sports:
I started playing soccer for a club called ‘Stade Haacht’ when I was 6 years old. I continued on
playing there untill I became 20. Recently I joined a new club called ‘Remy Boys Wijgmaal’.
