HLM series vertical grinding mill is a kind of advanced
mill developed by Hongcheng based on two decades
of R&D experiences and introduction of foreign
advanced technology. HLM vertical mill is advanced
pulverizing equipment integrated with drying,
pulverizing, powder selecting and conveying. It is

8. HLM Vertical Mill Application Range
1. Material hardness: From abnormal hard grind material (such as quartz sand, slag, slag, pyrophyllite,
iron ore, etc.) to the easy grind materials (such as gypsum, calcite, limestone, marble, etc.) ;
2. Material moisture: From 20% -30% moisture content (such as calcium carbide slag, lignite, etc.)
material to a moisture content of less than 1% (cement clinker, etc.) materials, strong adaptable for
moisture content of materials;
3. Product fineness: From 2-5mm (such as grinding raw shale brick of new wall materials industry,
construction sand, etc.) to 15um by passing rate 97% (such as paper, chemical industry, heavy calcium
carbonate, etc.), wide product fineness range, adjustable and controllable, easy and convenience
operation.
9. Main Frame Structure of HLM Vertical Grinding Mill
HLM roller mill uses standard modules to design and fabricate pressurization device. With the
increase in mill capacity , there is an increase in grinding rollers numbers. It could be 2 rollers or 3 or
even 4, maximum to be 6 rollers for permutations and combinations. With minimum standard
modular components, form a variety capability of products to meet different requirements for
product fineness and capacity.
10. HLM Vertical Mill working principle
The motor drives the reducer to rotate the millstone, the
raw material are sent into the center of the millstone
from the air lock rotary feeder. Under the effect of
centrifugal force, the material moves to the edge of the
millstone. Material than be ground by the force of the
roller and smashed under extrusion, grinding and cutting.
At the same time, hot air is blew up around the millstone
and bring up the ground material. The hot air will dry the
floating material and blow the coarse material back to
the millstone. The fine powder will be brought to the
classifier, and then, the qualified fine powder will flow
out the mill and be collected by dust collector, other
coarse powder will be brought down to the millstone by
the blade of classifier and be ground again. The
circulation like this is the overall process of grinding.

15. Technical Advantages

With an integral function of crushing, drying, pulverizing, powder selecting and conveying, it

mill system, it can be placed in the open air which can be greatly reduce investment cost.

(1) The product grain size and chemical composition can be easily detected and controlled
due to the short stay of the raw material in the mill so as to reduce repeated milling and
stabilize the product quality.
(2) Regular powder shape, narrow size fineness, easy fluidity, extensive application.
(3) The product features high whiteness and purity when being used in pulverizing white
and transparent materials due to precious iron content and its contained mechanical wear
iron is easy to be removed.
